Conservative Club

The ConChord Singers were formed from an enthusiastic group of members of The Con Club who enjoyed singing.  From a small number, initially ten or twelve at its inception in 1976, it has grown to its present size of around thirty members, with Bass, Tenor, Alto & Soprano Voices

Sponsored by the Club, we perform at many venues in the New Forest and beyond, from Lymington to Ringwood and through to Southbourne.  We have appeared on two separate occasions at the prestigious Wessex Hall in Poole.

All our efforts are aimed at raising money for a diverse number of Local Charities.  This year, 2009-10, our chosen charity is The New Milton Stroke Club.

Rosemary Millward, our Musical Director, assisted our pianists, leads us through a selection of songs ranging from spirituals, songs from the Shows, popular standards and Christmas Music. We intersperse our programme with soloists from our group.

We are a happy bunch, enjoy our music and hope that our performances give pleasure.

Predominantly consisting of retired or semi-retired people we are able to rehearse in the afternoons, and fortunately can take advantage of the facilities in our own club to practice.
